SimCraft Web is my attempt to fix that. And as of v1.0.0, it's live.
What is it?
SimCraft Web is a browser-based DPS simulator powered by the SimulationCraft engine. No desktop app, no terminal, no local install required. Log in with your Battle.net account, pick a character straight from your Armory and hit simulate. That's it.
For those who'd rather not log in at all — paste your SimulationCraft addon export directly and get a full simulation without a Battle.net account.
What's in v1.0.0
It's a proper release, not just a "it kind of works" deploy. Here's what's in:
- Battle.net OAuth2 login — characters imported automatically from the Blizzard Armory API
- Addon export support — paste your simc string and go
- Great Vault Finder — open your Great Vault in-game, export, paste. The app simulates every vault item as a potential upgrade and ranks them by DPS gain
- DPS Trend Chart — track your performance over time per character and fight style, rendered as PNG via Plotly
- Rankings — top 10 leaderboard with 🥇🥈🥉 podium, filterable by fight style, class and spec
- Emoji reactions — react to any result with 🔥💪😢💀🤣 (logged-in users only)
- Social sharing — every result has a unique URL with OG meta tags for Discord and Twitter previews
- Public profiles at
/u/{bnet_id}with per-character privacy controls - i18n PL / EN — full language switcher with browser auto-detection
- Admin panel secured with Keycloak — news, appearance, simulation limits, logs, user management
The full stack: FastAPI + Python 3.10, Alpine.js, PostgreSQL, Docker Compose, slowapi for rate limiting, structlog for structured logging.
What's next
v1.0.0 is feature-complete for the initial scope, but there's no shortage of ideas. If you have a feature request or run into a bug, open an issue or drop a comment — suggestions are genuinely welcome.
The project page with full feature breakdown and architecture overview is at miyazakitakara.ovh/simcraft-web.
The app itself is live at sim.miyazakitakara.ovh.
